I thought I would make a thread about good Freeware games. You can post suggestions for games you think would be good to check out. Here are my favorite Freeware games. Post a link to the game, and a short description.
Warning Forever - Fun little vertical shooter that consists of nothing but boss fights. You start out fighting a 'core' boss, and it evolves depending on how you destroy it. By the last stage it takes up most of the screen, there are missiles and beams and bullets and crap flying everywhere. http://www18.big.or.jp/~hikoza/ Shooter's Soltude - Check the above link. Good concept, you have to kill units of the same colour continually to get higher scores and increase beam power, and/or you can increase power using key manips like direction, direction+shot. When your power gauge is high, the beam is awesome, and you can blast some power from it into a big attack. It's a shame there's only one stage (and won't be any more from Hikoza). rRootage - This is a game that has about 50 stages, each being a boss battle with three forms. You can also choose from three styles of play, each resembling another shooter: Psyvariar, Giga Wing, and Ikaruga. Nice vector graphics and good music, too. http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~cs8k-cyu/windows/rr_e.html

America's Army and RtCW:Enemy Territory is at the top of my list of freeware games.
I also like GunZ:The Duel - It's a free online 3rd person multiplayer action game that's pretty fun except there's tons lame-o hackers that ruin it. It looks Like a Devil May Cry ripoff but multiplayer and buggy. It also has some RPG elements to it like leveling, earn cash to buy better armor, guns, swords, etc. |

My first choice would have to be OGAME which is a space exploration/strategy game which is played by tens of thousands of people online, warning it will soak up so much of your time http://www.ogame.org/

A while back, there was this FPS that was under 96kb, I think... What was it called? It was an amazing achievement, I thought. Did anyone try it? I never did.
