Tomb Raider : Underworld dated - no later than November 2008. If they keep the same sort of gameplay and fun that they've had in the previous two, then I'm quite sure this is going to be another hit. |

I read about this yesterday and I was surprised we were going to see the game this year. The previous two games by Crystal Dynamics have been very good, though Legend was on the short side. They both featured wonderful graphics at very good performance. Especially Anniversary, though it did not have all the next-gen effects Legend introduced. Underworld looks heaps better than those two games and if gameplay remains the same, this will be a great hit again.

Now that's got me wondering why the hell she'd blow her own place up like that - very impressive video, but it's a shame that it's pre-rendered and not in-game cinematics. At the start, where you see the ash floating upwards, the guns and the monitors - it almost looks like cinema-quality rendering...

I have to admit that Crystal Dynamics seems to be doing very well with the Tomb Raider reboot considering I was never a fan of the Kain games. Legend was an all-around solid effort with a few nags, but from what I've heard these nags have all been addressed in some way in Underworld.
I do want to point out though that in that trailer, Lara doesn't quite look like...herself. They way they have her portrayed in this one video at least - seems almost porn star-like - if that makes any sense. Moreso than they have with her in the past, even in the Core era. |

damn, looks great, super high quality rendering. Excellent use of Mozart too!
Indigo - I agree about how she looks, I couldn't help but think, "why is she wearing that"

I haven't played them but wasn't there a ton of custom outfits in the previous two "next-gen" Tomb Raider titles (Legends and Anniversary) so it might be one of those extra unlockable outfits.
