And now a new machine has been added to the menagery - a Wii, with Wii Fit. Not my purchase, to be honest, it's for my parents, but they've enjoyed it so far (As have I).

I've no real plans to get any Wii games, but I may get a couple for fun. I've just ordered a Component cable to connect to the TV - the Composite really sucks (Dot-crawl all over the place, shimmer, really nasty).

I also recently picked up a Wii, only because I got a really good deal on it, and while there aren't a whole bunch of games that would appeal to the hardcore gamer, there are a few good ones. I'd personally recommend LoZ: Twilight Princess and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, that is if you like those types of games, and you can get it away from your parents.

I'd also add smash brothers to that list. That game is waaaay too addictive. Perfect for when you have people over as well.

And yet another new machine has been added - this time a PSP.

I'm not 100% sure where this is from. I know that sounds rather daft, but it turned up today in a parcel from London, no documentation, with a PSP and Crisis Core:Final Fantasy VII. I did enter a competition over on Computer and Video Games about 3 months ago to win just that bundle, so I'm assuming that I have won, and this is the result - however, I've no documentation to show that.

Rather weird, really. But still - it's a bright, shiny new PSP, which I was probably going to buy anyway, but now I don't have to.

I love my PSP. Currently playing PS1 games on it though after I loaded custom firmware (Chrono Cross, an awesome game). There's also a wealth of great homebrew out there including emulators and media players.

Let me suggest Ratchet and Clank Size Matters, Daxter, Tekken, Burnout Dominator, Lumines 1&2, MGS Portable Ops.

I've also heard good things about Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions but it's not really my kind of game. There are also FF1 & 2 if you like your classic RPGs.

EDIT: Also God of War Chains of Olympus if you're a fan of the other two games. It's a bit short though so I borrowed it from a friend rather than buying my own.

Yeah, I think PSN is going to cost me a fortune - after I've bought a 4GB memory stick, of course
