Default Post Your Vista Experience Index

It works on a scale from 1-5.9

My computer is limited by my processor, and I'm guessing that's because it's not a dual core.

I know these numbers aren't that significant to us custom builders, but it's fun to see what it says.

I just renamed the thread title and corrected the spelling for "Experience" (was spelled "Experince").

Guys, please ensure that this thread doesn't become a "my system is better than yours" or "I have tweaked it better" thread. I would advise all of you to take a look at "The Windows Experience Index and your PC" article on ZDNet Blogs for an insight into what it means.

Overall is 4.2, my cpu being the culprit. Also my HDD speed is a little slow at 5.0 since the Vista partition is located at the end of the raid stripe.

Pic Here.

Looks like the results are pretty consistent...an AMD cpu at 2.4Ghz (at least mine and Cpt. Carnage) have the same results....

We do also have very similar systems.

Well I finally got Vista up and running half an hour ago, and here's mine (before any tweaking or customization):

The new 74GB Raptor with 16MB cache seems to be the best component along with the graphics card - just shy of scoring 6.0.

Here a screenshot for my PC.
First test with Vista.(no tweak)
Pentium 4 3,4GHZ>P4P800Deluxe>ATI9800PRO>80GBHD7200SATA>2x51 2DDR400.
Dual boot with XP pro on the first partition and Vista on the second.
I want to try on the E6600 Raid0 and do something similar as you did Koroush, did you use a third party boot loader?
