The new patch seems to have various problems with respect to performance and sound.
Me and some clan buddies have noticed that there is a sound like the character is running when they remain still, and also the models seems to get stuck together if you run into one another I also have noticed a drop in performance since the last patch. I run everything on low during MP matches, but at 1280x1024, and I am starting to notice a lot of stuttering that was not there before the patch. Anyone else experiening problems since the patch?

With the new 91.28 drivers I get around 48FPS(average) in contact at 1600x1200 16x AF and 4x AA, self shadows off. Also game seems pretty smooth with Render ahed at 2, no sluttering as such
Has your gameplay improved with the new drivers?

After playing FEAR with the new 1.05 patch the game plays very smoothly for me even more than before, the new modes and maps are very nice, it will take some time to get use to the new health system (no more medkit spamming !) since you can only carry 3 medkits maximum now.

I encourage all who play MP to voice their concerns on the above link. I personally dislike the various changes to MP, basically overhauling the whole MP game after many were used to it. Others, like yourself TnT82 seem to like it. I encourage you to say this on the VU forums. Medpack spamming is a concern, and something that was not without issue. In any case, I fixed my performance problems by uninstalling the SDK. I think that the 1.04 SDK didn't like the 1.05 patch.

|MOB| has initiated the worldwide FEAR community forums as a way to get through to VUG about the majorly flawed 1.05 patch. I would encourage you all to visit the forums and have your say...
Thanks go out to |MOB|Haytch

With all due respect to MOB, the correct way to voice concerns with a game is to Contact the manufacturer and/or post on their Official VUGames Forums. Obviously people can also visit and join your forums, but I would encourage people to raise the issue with VUGames directly first and foremost as otherwise just like online petitions, there is no guarantee that the developers will ever see (or quite frankly care) about any other form of feedback.

I am a regular on the F.E.A.R. VUG forums, but lately people are just moaning "oh I don't like this... or I don't like that." It's just getting old at this point and people making a tool to revert game back to 1.04, without un-installing game etc. Trying to split up the community is not the solution. We should all stick together and let our voices be heard by telling them to fix the bugs with a new hotfix or future patch. I for one support the new v1.05 version and I am positive they will help out the community with a new patch soon enough, hey they have so far released five patches and an expansion pack will be available this fall, so there is no way this is the last patch ever for F.E.A.R. or anything. I think the new modes are just great more objective based gameplay is exactly what this game needs, new maps like Cafeteria are very nice and the new "health system" makes for a better more balanced game for everyone. Medkit spamming was cheap, sure it's what set the game apart from the competition but it's not that different right now with v1.05, my kill death ratios have certainly not changed.
