Default F.E.A.R / Combat / Extraction point / Perseus Mandate

I just got a call from my local EB Games telling me my DVD copy of FEAR is ready - looks like it's out 3 days earlier than it's supposed to be!

Anyway I'm going to get my copy and start using it to see whether it's buggy (and I'll let you guys know here), and of course start working on the final version of the FEAR Tweak Guide.

As everyone else gets a copy, let us know what you think.

Please post all FEAR-related questions, thoughts, tips, tweaks etc. in this thread. All other FEAR threads will be closed. This includes FEAR Combat and FEAR Extraction Point discussions as well.

Do you think the store owners will sell a copy to a minor? If not, crap.

I'm 34 so it's not a problem for me

Most stores shouldn't be selling this game to under 18s, so you might be out of luck there.

Darnit, my mom is perfectly ok with me playing those games because she knows i'm smart enough to tell the difference between a video game and reallife. She only buys me things for XMAS and my Birthday, so maybe my brother wil buy it for me.

More then likely they will sell it to you anyways. I've never been asked for ID when buying an M rated game.

Depending on the store they may not notice the rating, and worse comes to worse if a responsible older brother/sister or parent thinks you can handle the game, they can buy it for you. It is technically illegal however, so I'm not encouraging anything illegal on the forums

Most of the time all places enforce age. One store I know that usually doesn't : Target.
I'll most likely be picking up this game, maybe see if it's available on Newegg.

OK well I got the DVD "Director's Cut" Edition, and here in Australia it seems to be rated MA 15+. We don't have any R rating for games as yet I believe.

Anyway the game comes with the manual, a small FEAR comic book, and the DVD itself is in a rather crappy paper packet with the CD key on the back of the packet. Shame they couldn't spring for a decent CD/DVD case for it.

Anyway I won't get the chance to play/install this until tomorrow, so I'll get back with first impressions soon after that
