Hello guys and gals,

I'm Fri4rTuck, and I'm an avid PC user and PC Gamer. I'm 37 years old and my educational background is Electronics Engineering Technology and I was a computer tech for 10 years prior to becoming a software consultant and trainer. I do web design and little bit of programming.

I run a relatively high end PC and I am always tinkering, upgrading and trying to get the best out of my rig. I like to play with settings to see just how well I can make games run. And, that is why I love what TweakGuides does. They have been a great reference for me over the years. Particularly in FarCry, FEAR and Crysis.

I believe through my experiences with trying different settings and frequently upgrading hardware, I can provide some insight into what I've tried and what has worked for me and what has not. I'm not one to jump on bandwagons and my posts are open minded and non judgemental.

Thanks, I like to eat, drink and be merry. I guess Fri4rTuck seemed to fit. I have been a member on a few different forums over the years and frankly, I'm tired of the fanboys and insults that go on in many of them. It seems every discussion turns into a flame war.

After reading the rules here, I thought it may be a more mature place for me to hang my hat.

Hello Fri4r,

Tweakguides is definitely a place for mature and intelligent conversation, not necessarily just for PC hardware and tweaking but also on a wide variety of topics. Due to the invitation system we have a nice group of interesting people and I personally always find it fascinating to see the opinions/thoughts of the members on various issues and contributing my own to the mix.

Do you have any other passions/interests outside of PC gaming? Presumably you have browsed/read the boards some before, if you were to become a full member this instant, what would be the first thread that you post in?

Yes, I have other interests for sure. As you may have guessed, my main interest is PCs and Gaming. My gaming isn't limited to PCs however. I also own a PS3 and a Wii.

With that said, my other interests are movies, fishing and I'm an avid runner.

For my first post, I would most likely post something in the "technical" section as this is the main reason I was drawn to this site. I won't lie to you.

I was actually thinking of commenting on an article I just read in Maximum PC this month about Windows Tweaks. They essentially cover the main ones that have been spinning around the web for years and debunk myths and clarify which ones actually work. It would be interesting to know what other's experiences have been with these tweaks.

I would most likely also post in the "non-technical" forums to take part in the movie discussions that are already taking place. I would then see if anyone in the forum shares similar fishing and running interests that I have and maybe spark up a conversation on those if there are any takers.
