I like that one bigtabs, it's legible but unique enough to catch attention

Thankyou for the comments. I used a free 3D program called Blender to make it. It's a really great tool with frequent updates and a lively community. It can be downloaded from this site. To see the power of this software take a look at the gallery.

Nice, bigtabs =)

I'll have to put the coffee on and learn how to do those cool animations ><

Here's another banner with a little variety to the design. Text and size/shape are easily changeable of course:

Yeah, I like the one dae's done too. The metal work did it for me. What would be truely brilliant if it was possible to make the image so when you mouse-over the purpleness of the T button it changes so it looks light it's "switched on"

Very nice Dae, I like it a lot.

Reminds me that at some point in the next few months I will have to get around to redesigning the site, and no doubt something similar to what you've come up with might be a good header logo

A couple of variations I might ask of you: could you do one where the 'T' is showing a bit more prominently through the blue. Just a bit mind you, not a lot more. And also one where the Tweak Guides text is a little thicker. I'm just curious to see how it would look

yeah dae that is a nice, simple design. I like dltd's idea of having the T light up as if its 'on' when you hover your mouse over it, but also the T could be a little more visible as it is.

Trying to stick with the blue and orange, they work well.

I've tried it on a few backgrounds but couldnt get anything to work. the outer glow will be less obvious with a proper background rather than the white.
maybe someone would like to have a play? pm me and i can email the .psd to anyone who wants it.

Thanks guys, glad you like it

Here it is with a more prominant "T," and I can bring the opacity up more still. I also added a Faux bold to the text and bumped up the font size just a smidgen to augment it.

I love the idea about the hovering glow, but I havn't learned quite how to do that. I can go ahead and draw the glowing version, but I'll need to do some research to learn how to implement it. Forgive my ignorance - I do have a few ideas on where to learn how.

Very nice Dae.

Perhaps if the blue in the central T circle was a little (tiny bit) brighter it would make the T stand out more? The lower right quarter is a little lost in the shadows.
